I started my apprenticeship with George Shipmans of Riddings, after leaving school in 1983. After finishing my apprenticeship, I started sub-contracting and after 10 years, I became self-employed, starting my company, Richard Dennis Builder in 1997. I have worked for private individuals but have also worked for medium and large construction companies such as Trafalgar House Construction. Over the last 17 years, I have been involved with remedial work and exhibition work for Hanson Brick and have carried out new building technologies for them such as Wonderwall Brick Cladding System. I have also done smaller repair jobs such as pointing brickwork, fixing guttering, laying slabs or building a wall. So I feel I have a wide range of job skills
