Pentrich marathon runner donates to air charity

Pentrich business owner Ian Hartshome donated £2,535 and gift aid of £446.50 to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance after running in the London Marathon. Ian completed the 26.2-mile course in four hours and 25 minutes. He said: "I was really surprised at the generosity from everyone."

Emergency service vehicles have descended on a Derbyshire street this morning due to an incident. Runner donates to help save lives

Pentrich runner Ian Hartshorne donated £4,942.20 and gift aid of £271.75 to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA). Mr Hartshorne presented the cheque at the ambulance air base in East Midlands Airport. Ian raised the money from sponsors when he took part in the 26.2-mile challenge of the London Marathon. He had set a target of £3,400 to help fund two rescue missions.
